Day 1 :                                           Nazca - Chauchilla
If we stay in Nazca city , we must to take the chance of visiting Chauchiilla´s Cemetery. This is a archeological zone located at desert zone, approximately to 28 kilometers of the city of Nazca. It is accessible keeping on the Pan American southern road for more or less 20 kilometers and next driving for a road without asphalt 8 Km.
From a lots years ago this pre Inca cemetery has been looted by treasure seekers who destroyed the tombs and stole all the treasures that were lying with the mummies. The plunderers stole only things of value, ( ceramics, textiles, gold objects, silver etc.), Leaves the skeleton bones scattered by the whole surface of the desert, which can be seen even nowadays.
Besides, they appreciate tombs in good condition with over thousand years of antique, long human hair plaits, and bodies mummified of children in mint condition.
After exploring Chauchilla's zone, we will return to Nazca and we will visit a ceramist's workshop who will give us details on the evolution of civilization and demonstrate us as men of this culture made their beautiful and colorings ceramics two thousand years ago.
